Not bad little pricey but the food is good

Very good authentic Mexican food! Every time we eat here food is always good! Highly recommend trying this place if you want delicious fresh food!

The waiters are always super friendly, the food is fresh. you won't be disappointed by a single dish on their menu. Plus they're happy hour Monday through Thursday is a steel! Great family oriented Mexican restaurant

Not the same. Service was super slow. Changed the ground beef recipe in the tacos and not for the better.

Great food, service, and Margheritas ... at a great price

I was not happy the food. We got three different dinners and they were all dry and we couldn't hardly eat it and we love Mexican food. Don't waste your money at this place. There are other good Mexican restaurants around that are better than this place.

First time for us to eat at this establishment. Very pleased. Food was freshly prepared and very well seasoned. There are many fine Mexican places around. But this one may the best we have tried in quite a while. Generous portions and fair prices. Will definitely be back.Truly would give more stars if I could.

A nice Mexican restaurant we've been going to for twenty years or more. Pretty good food and service. The cheese and meat dip is tasty. Anything there with cheese is good. I really like the cheese.

The staff is hardworking, they keep very busy to make sure each customer is well-served. We are a bit picky about our salsa... and El Napol's is the absolute best!!! It would be worthwhile just going here for chips and salsa if you're in the mood for a great snack. Each and every meal we've had here is incredible, tastes authentic and is served fresh and hot. Note: it's truly impressive how quickly they can turnaround carryout orders.

Decent Mexican restaurant. Nice staff. Reasonable prices, with free chips and salsa included and large portions. Open areas for bigger groups. Food is okay, not great not bad.

First time coming here for curbside, it was really quick and easy! I was starving so I had some chips and salsa in the car and the salsa was amazing! Tastes fresh and homemade. I got a monster lime margarita and that was amazing as well. Free t shirts were also a bonus today. Great service, can’t wait to order again!

We love everything here! Get the El Nopal dip as an appetizer. Salsa and chips are good, but this dip is over the top. Frozen margaritas are to die for! Damien is an awesome waiter, and has become a good friend over the years that we have visited El Nopal.

Great experience here! Owner Nikki was super nice. Loved the atmosphere, very comfortable, clean and warm. You can tell that she takes pride in what she does. El Nopal dip was absolutely amazing, would highly recommend!We ordered the chicken fajitas and the Cassandra and were not disappointed. Everything came out fresh, was very well seasoned and delicious. Good portion size as well. Hidden gem. Would recommmend!

I eat here frequently since I live close by, and I am always treated like familia and the food is always amazing! They are always helpful if I want to try something new and may not know what’s on it! BEST CHEESE DIP IN TOWN!!!!

El Nopal is authentic Mexican food. From Tacos Al Pastor to the Carnitas and Enchiladas, you won't find any better, in St. Louis. Starting up over 25 years ago as a small restaurant, they didn't take long before breaking through to the next space in the strip mall. If you're hungry for good food and excellent Margaritas, this is the place!

Very good food service exelent the waitress beto is the best.

Hostess does not wear her mask.used same dry looking rag to wipe menus and the clean a dirty table. They do not get the COVID cleaning rules. Food okay.

We arrived with a party of 20. Not only were they able to accommodate our size party, the service was spectacular. Drinks were kept filled and all of the food showed up as ordered.Portions were plentiful.

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the entire Metro area. The Queso Fundido is amazing and I tried the shrimp tacos for the first time tonight which were perfection!

Great food good prices, nice people

My tacos were cold, after being told my plate was too hot to touch, the flavor was poor and the worst part of the whole visit was the margarita had no tequila in it. It was lime juice on ice. The staff was great, very polite and that was great, I found the service to not be slow at all as other reviews point out, perhaps in the attempt to appease people who want Mexican fast the quality went down, I'm not sure. I don't go to a sit down place to have speedy fast service, so maybe that's the issue an attempt to please people who are in a hurry.

Ordered curbside, was told an hour and a half, showed up an hour and a half later, was told 20 minutes later they don't know how long it will be. At this point it's been two hours and they haven't even started on my order. Was not empathetic at all and only response was, “nothing we can do”. They wouldn't even offer to start on the order after waiting 2 hours. Just offered to cancel.

Food and service was bad. Chips we're tasteless and so was salsa. Waiter tool forever to wait on us. Use to be really good.

Good food, good drinks, good people

Like most neighborhood Mexican restaurants you always get plenty of hot food with a wide variety.

It's been many years since I've been here as it's not a route I travel much. The restaurant looks great, very clean and inviting. The staff is friendly, courteous and attentive. I got the Taco Salas Fajita with chicken and it was delicious. The shell was amazingly thin and perfect! I've never had a shell this thin and delectable before. The chips and salsa were good as well as the queso dip I ordered. Definitely a place to come back to. I especially liked the waiter and gentlemen who delivered the chips as we interact a bit. I highly recommend dining here if your in the mood for Mexican.

We have been here 10 times and every meal has been great deal!! (And a super price) The owner Nicki is there to make sure all meals are perfect! Way to go El Nopal.. we love the food .. service .. and price!

No-frills service (read: not great service at all) and the food is par for the course.

Just ordered delivery and it was delicious as usual - my wife was craving hard so we ordered both of her favorites so she would have food for a couple days, and they never disappoint- the kid delivering was great too!

I love working here my co workers are amazing and so are the managers.i like that when it’s slow we know how to make the most of the night and still work efficiently but when it’s busy we know when to put the fun aside and do our job the best we can.i feel like this is a really good place to work and an amazing set of people even though it’s only my first job.
